Agri College Celebrates 7th Founding Day

SHILLONG, February 28: In a grand program on Monday, Kyrdemkulai College of Agriculture celebrated its 7th day of foundation. Chief Secretary of Meghalaya, RV Suchiang, Managing Director of NECTAR, New Delhi, Dr. Arun Kumar Sarma and Vice Chancellor of Central University of Agriculture, Imphal, Dr. Anupam Mishra presided respectively as as Principal Guest, Guest of Honor and Program Chair. Before the start of the event, Suchiang and the dignitaries witnessed the research and demonstration on “Integrated Farming System Model, Natural Farming Model and Waste to Wealth Program”.
Congratulating the college authorities on celebrating their 7th founding day, RV Suchiang said the IFS model developed by the college should also be replicated in other parts of the state so that local farmers can achieve sustainable goals. in their farming practices.
The main guest also published the college newsletter and distributed piglets and pig feed to farmers in the area. A webinar on “The Dynamic North Eastern Hill Region with Special Emphasis on Integrated Natural Resource Management” was also organized by the college.
About 200 participants from different parts of the country, faculties, scientists, dignitaries and local farmers also took part in the program which was held in mixed mode.
