The Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation recently approved grants for affordable housing, social services, and projects that promote environmental sustainability. This funding brings the Barancik Foundation’s total philanthropic investment in the region to more than $105 million since 2014. The Charles and Margery Barancik Foundation’s 2022 summer grant cycle includes the following:
Building a new future for youth in the community, building a new future for youth in foster care, protecting the sentinels of our coastal ecosystem, supporting the development and preservation of affordable and service-enriched housing, building a network of strength and resilience for girls and families, expanding trauma-informed services, reducing recidivism, expanding parenting education, providing comprehensive services to displaced legal residents, diversifying ocean research opportunities, renewing passion for education, improving access to local cultural experiences, creating a suncoast housing collaboration, engaging citizens in meaningful environmental sustainability efforts, providing stability for women and families, increasing family housing transition, boost workforce development programs artwork, supporting families impacted by autism and Down syndrome, increasing prenatal and postpartum support and education for Spanish-speaking women, Embracing Our Differences, supporting student reading recovery, improving coordination homeless care in Manatee County.
