Jason Colodne and Colbeck Capital support the 2022 Golf for a Cure Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation

Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating pediatric cardiomyopathy. This rare heart disease affects infants and children as a disease of the heart muscle, which over time can become unable to pump adequate blood supply throughout the body. The results of this condition can range from fatigue to irregular heartbeat and heart failure. Although the disease can be triggered by various catalysts, including genetic markers and viral and bacterial infections, there is no known cure. In fact, cardiomyopathy remains the leading cause of heart transplantation in children.

The Foundation was created to raise awareness of pediatric cardiomyopathy, including the various advances in treatment and research. The Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation also provides educational resources and support not only to the community to increase understanding and funds, but also to patients and their families who are dealing with the effects of the disease. The Foundation’s mission remains focused on accelerating the search for a cure as well as more effective treatment modalities that can lead to the alleviation of symptoms, suffering and loss of life.
