The La Crosse Community Foundation has announced its winter grants for 2022.
Nearly $220,000 in competitive grants were awarded to 13 organizations.
The Foundation said $353,709 was requested for standard and mini grants. The grant nomination process closed on January 15.
The YWCA received the largest grant at $88,000. The money comes just two weeks after Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers was in La Crosse to present the group with a check for $1 million from the state’s Equitable Recovery Grant program.
The Community Foundation also awarded $27,200 in baseball grants from the Corrine Zielke Fund. This included $5,000 to Boys and Girls Clubs of Grand La Crosse.
