The Bartholomew County Community Foundation was established as a community foundation in 1976 to continue a legacy of giving by providing all citizens with the opportunity to donate and create charitable funds to benefit the local community. It was created primarily to: ensure responsible management of donations given for general charitable purposes; promote leadership to address community issues; serve as a catalyst for positive change in partnership with others; and broadly promote philanthropy within the community.
