The United Arab Emirates’ Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance has announced the opening of nominations for the 25th cycle of its Excellence Awards, which include nine different categories.
The Foundation has begun accepting nominations through the awards website through September 18, 2022. The nine award categories include Distinguished Student (Local), Distinguished Student (Gulf), Distinguished University Student (Local ), Distinguished Teacher Award (Local and Gulf), and Distinguished Education Specialist Award (Local), Distinguished School (Local and Gulf), Hamdan-ALECSO Award for Distinguished Education Research and local institutions for the Education Support Award.

In accordance with the new standards of the 25th session of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation Awards for Distinguished Academic Performance, an evaluation system for all categories has been developed through the design of an evaluation tool, “the rubric marker”, training sessions for participants and referees designed and prepared specifically, as well as the application of a pilot phase of the new standards to a group of target people.
Improving the standards includes training and familiarizing participants with the new standards and their requirements, details and conditions in order to be fully prepared to participate effectively and increase their chances of winning the different categories of the award. Training services for the 25th cycle have also been developed through virtual training programs, introductory films, other meetings and visits to universities and schools to publicize the awards, question and answer sessions, the launching inquiry response services through a hotline and emails, and responding to frequently asked questions through the website and auto-response.
