Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation increased its position in the UK-based medical diagnostics company to 19,859,773 shares. This figure includes the addition of 14,285,714 LumiraDx shares through a private placement on July 25 that priced those shares at $1.75 each. Following this new investment, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation now owns a 15.8% stake in LumiraDx.

The foundation revealed that under a previous agreement, it had the right to nominate one administrator and one observer to the LumiraDx board. No appointments were made after a representative of the foundation resigned from the LumiraDx board of directors at the end of April 2021. Simcoe now owns a 4.1% stake in Overstock. As this figure is less than 5%, Simcoe is no longer required to disclose further Overstock sales.



Engine capital cut its stake in the mobile game maker by about a fifth, to 1,435,194 shares. Without citing a reason, Engine Capital sold 379,515 SciPlay shares from June 28 to July 29 at prices per share of $13.15 and $14.05. Engine now owns 5.8% of SciPlay’s tradable shares.



Edward Lampert reduced its stake in the auto parts retailer to 7,615,280 shares. This figure includes 4,408 shares held in a liability account supervised by Lampert’s ESL Investments as well as 162,002 shares held by the Lampert Foundation. From June 8 to July 28, Lambert sold 566,951 AutoNation shares at prices of $111.54 to $124.72 each. Lampert delivered an additional 248,291 AutoNation shares to a banking company in settlement of a series of forward contracts. After this settlement and the noted sales, Lampert now owns 13.6% of the outstanding shares of AutoNation.
